RITES SET FOR SOAM REYNOLDS
Services Scheduled Monday for Former Tiffin Resident, 75
Funeral services will be held at the Oakmont funeral chapel at 3:30 p.m. Monday for Soam W. Reynolds, 75 who died at his home, 928 South Riverside Drive, at 1:20 p.m. Friday following an extended illness.
The Rev. Leon England will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Tiffin cemetery.
Mr. Reynolds was born on a farm near Tiffin, February 29, 1876, the son of Isaac and Columbia Ann Reynolds. He was married in 1902 to Alla Stanfield.
After their marriage, they established their home on a farm near Tiffin where they farmed until 1940 when they moved to Iowa City.
He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Earnie Potter, Coralville, and Mrs. G. H. Nelson, Peoria, Ill.; three sons, Arthur Reynolds of Morse, Earl of Tipton and Leon of San Diego, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Dale Douglas, Grover, Colo., and Mrs. Mae Seldomridge, California.
Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, six half brothers and three half sisters. Two sons and one daughter preceded him in death.
