Mr. L. S. "Dink" Barnett, aged 87 years, died at his home at Cash Point Sunday night, June 16, 1935. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church and his inflexible honesty and uprightness made of him an example to be emulated by all. Funeral service was conducted Monday by Elder M. J. Towry and Rev. Morris, with burial in Gatlin graveyard. He is survived by two daughters and four sons, Mrs. Delia [Della] Hargroves [Hargrave] and Mrs. [Pernie] Elgie [Elzie] Hopwood, Silas, Edgar [Thomas Edd], Boone [Diemer], and Elgie [Elsie] Barnett.
