Lois Faye Carter Williams was born November 11, 1924 to her parents Willis Carter and Elma Hartley Carter in Provo, Utah. She has an older brother Weston Carter who has proceeded her in passing and a younger brother Keith Carter who resides in South Jordan, Utah. Lois grew up in Provo, Utah having many friends and family that were very dear to her.

She met her sweetheart Floyd James Williams one magical evening before he was to report for duty in the armed forces. They eloped during one of Floyd's leaves meeting halfway in Pioche, Nevada surrounded by some of Floyd's family. The newlyweds endured separation as Floyd returned to active duty and served throughout WW2 until at last the war ended. Lois had her sweetheart back and they began to build their lives together.

Their oldest child, Lois Kaye Burdette was born in Provo, Utah while Floyd was still serving in the military. After the war, they welcomed three sons, Floyd Dennis Williams, Steven J. Williams, and Richard Lee Williams all born in Provo, Utah. Lois and Floyd decided to move their little family to Southern California so that Floyd could attend Art Center. The family eventually made California their permanent home and welcomed their final daughter, Melanie Kim Cortes.

Moving a couple of times, Lois and Floyd made their final home in Thousand Oaks, California where they both spent the rest of their days enjoying their grown children, their grandchildren, and their great-grandchildren.

Floyd passed right after Christmas in 2000. Lois was lonely without her sweetheart but filled her days with activities she enjoyed, in particular dancing. Lois met and married Robert Wiley during this time. They both had lost their sweethearts and decided that they would wed to help with the loneliness. Robert passed a couple years later leaving Lois a widow once more.

Lois lived bravely with Alzheimer's which eventually took her life. She was a young soul that loved life and all that was beautiful in it. Her caretakers at the end of her life marvel at her sweetness and grateful heart toward them. Lois passed away in the early morning hours on March 26, 2015 with her family surrounding her. They let her slip away from them and into the loving arms of her sweetheart.

She is now with her husband, daughter Kaye, brother, parents and many other loved ones.

Lois leaves behind 4 surviving children, their spouses, 17 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Certainly a legacy to be proud of.
