James D. Lester of Shady Shores passed away on October 26, 2023. He is the son of Elred and Ruby Lester. James married his wife Judy on June 10, 1988 in Denton, Texas. He has one daughter, Amy Rybolt, stepdaughter Joey Pruitt, and step son Richard Vickers.
James was a graduate of Lake Dallas High School. He was employed by Lake Dallas Telephone Company for 27 years and Lake Dallas Independent School district for 5 years.
James was a huge fan of the Texas Rangers, Green Bay Packers, and Alabama football.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Elred and Ruby Lester, four brothers, Jerry, Larry, Joe, and Billy Jack, one sister, Johnetta, and one granddaughter, Trinity Yeck.
He is survived by brothers, Roy Lester, Ray Lester, 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 1 great granddaughter.
