Charlie E. Daniels, 83, longtime resident of Mountain Grove, died at his home there at 5 p.m. Monday following a short illness.

He is survived by his wife, Ida; six daughters, Mrs. Goldie Wilbur, Scaramento, Calif., Mrs. Bertha Stanchfield and Mrs. Myrtle Smart both of Midland, Mich., Mrs. Mattie Perkins, Corping, Ark., Mrs. Charlene Jones, Manes, and Mrs. Ollie Plaster, Rogersville; five sons, Everett, Ubly, Mich, Ernest, Turner; Carl, Springfield, Alva, Galloway, and Tom, Goodland and two step-daughters, Mrs. Adline Marlow, Hartville, and Mrs. Ruth Smith, Polk.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Barber of Mountain Grove.

born 8 Apr. 1887 in Kansas died; 19 Sept. 1960 at 214 Oak Street, Mt. Grove, Wright, MO. had lived there for 25 years. Burial 22 Sept. 1960 in Fordland Cemetery.
