Steele, Hazel Mae, age 92, of Wyckoff, formerly of Hawthorne, on Monday June 29, 2020. Born in Paterson, Hazel was raised in Wyckoff and Ridgewood. She had lived in Hawthorne for more than 50 years before moving back to Wyckoff. Hazel worked as a floral designer for Jeffs Starflower Florist in Midland Park for many years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of the Second Reformed Church in Wyckoff and a member of the Dorcas Circle. Hazel was the beloved wife of the late Harold Steele, Sr. (2006). Loving mother of Harold Steele, Jr. and his wife Ren of Baton Rouge, LA and Peggy Lauria and her husband Tony of Augusta, NJ. Dear grandmother of six, great-grandmother of nine. Funeral services will be private with an interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hawthorne Ambulance Corps.
