At eighteen years old she got a job at Meredith Corporation where she worked until she retired at age 65. Art and music were among her many passions for life. Her love for her family and friends was strong, and she wanted everyone around her to be happy. She had the ability and strength of character to make us all laugh with her quick wit and sense of humor. Her eyes were always filled with love and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister and her only son, Richard Douglas Ayers, Sr. Left to cherish her memory are her two grandchildren, Richard and Rachel Ayers and their families. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Dunn's Funeral Home.
