Born in Delphi, Sept. 11, 1906, she was reared there, came to Lafayette in 1936. Her marriage was March 24, 1934, in Delphi, to Fondo Edward Sholty, who was a custodian at Purdue University. He died June 5, 1973.
Mrs. Sholty was a member of Brown Street United Methodist Church and Women's Society Christian Service
Surviving are a son, Edward Sholty of Delphi; one daughter, Mrs. James (Anna K.) Luff of Delphi; a brother, Charles Hobaugh of Allegan, Mich.; and two sisters Edith Plumb and Faye Vanderweilen, both of Lafayette.
