Carson and Lillie lived on Campground Road, Jackson County, Mississippi. Carson was a farmer; a foreman at Ingalls Shipyard, Pascagoula; Jackson County Road Foreman for Beat Five; and a Trustee for the Vancleave School District.

Carson died at the VA Hosptial in Biloxi, as a result of complications from a stroke.

FLETCHER
G. Carson Fletcher, 82, Route 1, Box 127, Ocean Springs,died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 1878, at the VA Hospital in Biloxi. Mr. Fletcher was a retired machinist and member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Mr. Fletcher was also a member of the Daisy Vestry Masonic Lodge.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lillie Wilson Fletcher, Ocean Springs; one daughter, Mrs. Faye F. Baker, Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, Ibert Fletcher, Long Beach; three grandchildren; and other relatives.
Visitation will be tonight, Sept. 7, at the Bonnie Chapel Methodist Church and friends may call after 6 p.m. Services will be Friday, Sept. 8, at 10:00 a.m. from the church with the Rev. Victor Chathula officiating. Interment will be in Byrd Cemetery. Arrangements by Moore Funeral Home, Wiggins.
