Addie M. Crow, daughter of Wm. and Malinda Crow, was born in Unionville, Ia., March 12, 1856, and passed away Jan. 4, 1933, at the age of 75 years, nine months and 22 days. Her entire life was spent in or near here. She attended the local school and spent the following years caring for her aged parents. Since their passing she has lived alone. She united with the local M. E. church in early life and was a regular attendant for many years. She was the last of a family of eight children, six brothers and two sisters. One brother, Pleasant Crow, was killed in the Civil war.
Funeral service was held at the M. E. church Jan. 8, conducted by Rev. R. C. Rowe. Music was by Emily Plitt, Gladys Underwood, A. L. Lyon, P. A. Bair, with Estella Lyon at the piano. Pall bearers were six nephews, Della, Florin, Charley, Gilbert and Doyle Crow and Lee Walker. Interment was in Unionville Cemetery, beside her parents. Out of town relatives here for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Lee Walker, Charley and Doyle Crow, Centerville; Mr. and Mrs. Florin Crow, Ft. Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Davison, Moulton; Mr. and Mrs. Will Whisler, Macoma, Wash., Alfred Crow, Ottumwa, Zelma Glosser, Blakesburg. Two other nephews, Della and Gilbert Crow and their wives were the remaining relatives present.
