Amanda Lavada Missouri McCarter Blackwood, 77, of Inman Rt 8, widow of George Washington Blackwood, died Wednesday in General Hospital. Daughter of the late Joseph Sephus and Nora Evelyn Horton McCarter; member of the Aldergate United Methodist Church of Inman. Surviving; daughters, Lucille Blackwood and Patsy Blackwood of the home; son, Paul W. Blackwood of Fairfax, VA; sisters, Vivan M. Seay, Geraldine M. Hutchens and Virginia Sewell of Spartanburg; brothers, Donald V. McCarter of Spartanburg, Louis McCarter of Gaffney, Randolph M. McCarter of Charleston and Beverly J. McCarter of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Services 2 Friday at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel by the Revs. Mark R. Lohg and David F. Ervin; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
