"Frank Ulrich, a salesman and long a resident of Brooklyn, died of pneumonia on Tuesday in the German hospital. He was born in Manhattan on October 27, 1861, a son of the late Frank and Catherine (nee: Bernhardt) Ulrich.
He leaves a wife, Frances (nee: Schultz); two daughters, Hazel Gertrude Ulrich and Elsie Ulrich; two sons, Frank Ulrich and Herbert Ulrich; a brother, Emil Ulrich, and two sisters; Mrs. Kate McKervey and Mrs. Lizzie McGinnis. Burial in Evergreens cemetery."
Married twice, the first to Barbara Catherine Markert, in 1885, in New York. She was born in Pennsylvania about 1862, a daughter of Augustus and Kunigunda Gretlein Markert. She died December 1, 1896 in Kings county, NY. Barbara and Frank Ulrich had at least 2 children: Adeline (b. about 1887, married John J. Ryan. She died in 1912), and Hazel (b. about 1890, married George Francis Muller). The 1892 New York State Census, family #454 1/2 has:

Ulrick, Adeline age 5 NY
Ulrick, Hazel age 2 NY
Ulrick, Catherine age 58 Germany (probably Frank's mother)
Marriage #2 was to Frances Schultz in 1897 in New York. They had at least two children: Elsie (b. about 1898 Married Rudolph Alfred Smith or Schmidt) and Frank (b. about 1899).
