Longtime Anchorage resident Kenneth A. Fuller, 80, died July 8, 1999, at Providence Alaska Medical Center. A service was held at Jewel Lake Parish, 3833 Strawberry Road, with the Rev. Janice Stamper officiating. A reception followed at the Family home.
Mr. Fuller was born April 5, 1919, in Kellyville, Okla. He moved to Alaska in 1947 and lived in Anchorage. He was an engineer with the Alaska Railroad from 1947 until he retired in 1979. He was a member of the Jewel Lake Parish, Methodist/Presbyterian United Church. His family said: ''Dad most enjoyed time spent with his wife of 60 years and best friend, Virginia Fuller. He enjoyed long drives, viewing Alaska scenery from Fairbanks to Homer and in between. Special evenings watching boxing on cable TV with family and friends became his happiest social events and were enjoyed and looked forward to by all. He enjoyed and appreciated his years on the Alaska Railroad and his active retirement, enjoying his family and friends. He was content in all aspects of life.''
Mr. Fuller is survived by his wife, Virginia L. Fuller; daughter, Carole L. Fuller of Washington, D.C.; son, Richard A. Fuller; granddaughters, Lisa J. Fuller of Anchorage and Danielle E. Fuller of Mission Viejo, Calif.; daughters-in-law, Naomi L. Fuller and Jerry Fuller; step-grandsons, George, James, John and Joe Hegedus; grandson, Taylor Hileman-Fuller; step-granddaughters Julie Hileman and Rennie Hileman, all of Anchorage. He was preceded in death by his son Kenneth Robert Fuller. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Anchorage Rescue Mission, 2823 East Tudor Road, Anchorage 99507.
