Donald G. Adams, 86 of Belmont, WV, passed away April 2, 2008 at the Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born May 6, 1921 at Mt. Carmel Ridge, Pleasants County, WV, a son of Austin and Mariah Bailey Adams.

He was retired from the Pleasants County Board Of Education with over 44 years of service as a school bus driver and maintenance worker. He was a U. S. Army Air Force Veteran of World War II.

He is survived by two sons, Cramer of Belmont and Delno (Judy) of Vienna, a special niece, Virginia (Sissy) Matthews of St. Marys, WV, two sister-in-laws, Mavis Adams of Walton, WV, and Betty Adams of St. Marys, WV, two grandsons, Robert and Jarrod Vandergrift, three step great grandchildren and several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Rose, six sisters, Mable Wagner, Dorothy Cox, Goldie Stewart, Mary Sayre, Sylvia Adams, and Hilda Laidley, and six brothers, Lawrence (Pete) Adams, Fred Adams, Charles (Dick) Adams, Allen Adams, and Harry Adams, and Ronald a twin brother, who died at birth.

Services will be Friday, April 4, 2008, at 1:00 P.M. at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, WV. Interment will follow in Evergreen North Cemetery, Parkersburg, WV. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P. M. Thursday at the funeral home.

The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Carmel Cemetery Fund, c/o Theodore E. Hicks, 2468 Mt. Carmel Ridge Road, St. Marys, WV 26170 or to the charity of ones choice.
