Elijah C. Ford, eighty six years of age, died at his home in this city Tuesday morning, January 28th. Mr. Ford has been confined to his home for a long time with the infirmities of old age and for years has been entirely blind. With all his afflictions he manifested the most cheerful Christian patience. He has long been a member of the Christian church. He is the father of W. W. Ford with whom he made his home, L. M. Ford of the Seneca Steam Laundry, Mrs. Mary Marshall of Beaver city, Nebraska, Mrs. Dora Quackenbush, postmistress at Bingham, Nebraska, Frank and Grant Ford, who lived in Kansas. The funeral services held from his late home Wednesday afternoon were conducted by Rev. S. I. Nash.
