George's Courier Service co-owner and Anchorage resident Audree H. Kocur, 55, died June 5 at Providence Hospital. A funeral was held at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, Eighth Avenue and E Street, with the Rev. Curtis Nestegard of Harvester Christian Church officiating.
Mrs. Kocur was born Sept. 20, 1935, in Rapid City, S.D. She moved to Anchorage in 1951 and married George M. Kocur Sr., May 20, 1959. Her family made the following statement: "'Mrs. Kocur was a devoted wife and mother. People who knew her could always count on her as a friend. Even though she devoted much time to making the family business a success, she always had special time set aside for her friends and family. She was loved by many and missed by all."
In addition to her husband, George, Mrs. Kocur is survived by her sons, Larry and George Jr., both of Anchorage; her daughters, Diane Berry and Beverly Kocur, both of Anchorage, and Donna Derrick of Houston, Texas; her mother, Dorothy Hansen of Sheridan, Wyo.; her sisters, Jean Rosendahl of Sheridan, and Lynda Baker of El Paso, Texas; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
