Gladys Fern Dayley, 78, of Twin Falls went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 1, 2001 after a brief illness. She was born May 24, 1922 in Boise, Idaho, to Harry and Jesse Ross Hansen. She attended school in Twin Falls, and then met her life-long love, Floyd Dayley. They married on Feb. 2, 1939, and together they made their home in Idaho, California, Florida, South Dakota during Floyd's service years, finally returning to Idaho and settling in Twin Falls. She lived her life for her family and they always came first. She enjoyed camping, fishing and was the "Trail Boss." She kept everyone together and organized. She loved her animals and always had a "special" pet in her life. Kindy was her latest, most cherished pal.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Floyd; one son, Larry Dayley; two daughters, Jeanne (Don) Molesworth and Sheryl (Mike) Thorpe all from Twin Falls, Idaho; six grandchildren, Ranell Nystrom of Seattle, Wash., Ryan Dayley of Chino, Calif., Brandon Shearer of Kuna, Idaho, Derek Molesworth, Lacey Dayley and Brooke Shearer, of of Twin Falls; three great grandchildren, Megan Dayley and MacKenzie and Jackson Molesworth; two sisters, Helen Meyers and Valerie Lukens of Twin Falls and brother, Leonard Hansen of Carmichael, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Perry Hansen, two sons, Boyd and James Dayley and one grandson, Ferrell Freestone.

Funeral services for Gladys will be held Friday, Jan. 5, 2001, at 9:30 a.m. at the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road, Twin Falls. Officiating will be Pastor Ken Goslin. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Twin Falls. Arrangements and services are under the direction of the Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home of Twin Falls.
