Martha (Molly) Elizabeth Steinmetz, 94, of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away August the 21st at the Magic Valley Regional Medical Center of a short illness. She went to her Heavenly Father peacefully.

Molly was born Oct. 29, 1909, in West Weber, Utah, to James A. Stanger and Luella E. Cottle. She moved to Hansen, Idaho, as a very young girl and she attended Bickel Country School.

As a young girl she helped her father clear sagebrush at the family farm in Hansen and was a hard worker. Molly married Harold E. Shobe and that union brought a daughter, Irene (John) Bertie, and a son, John (Dorothy) Shobe. Harold died Oct. 28, 1928.

Molly lived with her parents for 10 years and did odd jobs to support her small family. She married Henry Steinmetz, July 4, 1937.

This union brought four sons, Henry Jr. (Bobbie), Jay Ruben (Elinea), George Albert (Kathy) and Oran Neil. She farmed in Hazelton, Idaho, with Henry until his passing on March 7, 1984.

In 1987 Molly moved to Arizona with her daughter. Molly enjoyed her life on the farm and was a hard worker. She enjoyed her work with the 4-H Clubs, Boy Scouts and the Grange.

She was a member of the Hazelton LDS 2nd Ward. Molly was never idle; she cooked and baked, made many afghans and fancy work. Her hands were also never idle as she crocheted up to the last days of her life.

Molly was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, one sister, two husbands, and her son, Neil.

She is survived by her daughter and four sons, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Neva (John) Swanson of Boise and Edith Utt of Eden; and her brother, Melvin (Joyce) Stanger of Jerome.

At Molly's request she will be cremated and will be laid to rest at the Twin Falls Cemetery with White Mortuary and Crematory, "Chapel by the Park," in charge of the arrangements.

No services are planned.
