HAZELTON - Henry Steinmetz, 70, of Hazelton, died Wednesday at Cassia Memorial Hospital.

Born July 22, 1913, in Bozeman, Mont., he moved to Idaho at an early age. He had lived most of his life in the Eden-Hazelton area.

In July 1937, he married Martha Stanger in Eden.

Mr. Steinmetz was a member of the Lutheran Church and the National Farmers Organization and he was a past member of the Grange. He also had been active in the Boy Scouts.

Surviving are: his wife of Hazelton; four sons, Henry Steinmetz Jr., Jay Ruben Steinmetz and Oran Neal Steinmetz, all of Hazelton, and George Albert Steinmetz of Pocatello; two stepchildren, Irene Bertie of Phoenix and John Harold Shobe of Tempe, Ariz.; two sisters, Mollie Wolters of Hazelton and Catherine Wolters of Coeur d'Alene; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at White Mortuary in Twin Falls. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls.

Friends may call at the funeral home today from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday until 10:30 a.m.
