Sadger-Hagerty Wedding:

A candlelight service Saturday evening at 7:30 in the First Presbyterian Church in Marshall united in marriage Miss Rebecca Leigh Hagerty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Hagerty of that city, and Michael Alvin Sadger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd A. Sadger of Albion. Rev. John Marvin read the double ring service at the altar decorated with arrangments of gold chrysanthemums. Creighton Sherman was organist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a floor length gown fashioned with five tiers of old fashioned lace forming a bouffant skirt. The fitted bodice featured long tapered sleeves and scalloped neckline. Her shoulder length veil was secured to a double crown headpiece and she carried yellow and white roses in a colonial bouquet.
The matron of honor was Mrs. Charles Ostrander of Battle Creek, cousin of the bride, and the bridesmaid was Miss Barbara Swem of Battle Creek. Miss Susan Hagerty, sister of the bride, was a junior bridesmaid. They wore identical ankle length Empire gowns in moss green, yellow and gold, respectively, and all carried cascade bouquets of mums.
Jack Pulling of Albion was best man. Seating the guests were Leonard Romanak of Paw Paw and Mark Hagerty of Marshall.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs Hagerty chose a blue brocade coat dress. The bride-groom's mother was attired in a gold knit. Both wore yellow rose corsages.
The reception was held in the church immediately following the ceremony.
The couple then left for Angola, Ind., where they will reside at Shady Acres trailer court, while the bridegroom is attending Tri-State College. The new Mrs. Sadger was wearing a grey and white checked outfit. She is a graduate of Harper Creek High School and attended Kellogg Community College. Her husband is an Albion High School graduate and also attended KCC.
