Mrs. Hubbard, 91, of Red Wing, died Saturday (May 10, 2008) at St. Brigid's at Hi-Park in Red Wing, where she had been for a short time.
Donna Ruth Hennings was born June 2, 1916, in Red Wing. She attended school through the 10th grade, when she left to help on the family farm, Hill Top Dairy.
She married Lloyd Hubbard on Dec. 7, 1935, in Red Wing; he preceded her in death on Feb. 18, 2001.
She worked at Stevenson's Clothing Store, and Reidell Shoe Company.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins, news and politics. She also enjoyed going out to eat, shopping, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Juleanne (Larry) VonBargen of Red wing; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren. Including her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, and an infant sister.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
Memorials are preferred to the church.
