Preceded in death by her husband George S. Owens, son S/Sgt. Warren Owens, daughter Geraldine Heatherly. Survivors: daughters, Geneva V. Owens of Kingsport, Hattie and Juanita Owens of Bellville, Mich., June Perkins, Sue Collins, both of Elk Valley, Mary Ware of Ocalo, Fla.; stepdaughters: Lottie Belt, Virgie Baird, both of Clinton, Lola Monroe, Veola Smith, both of Knoxville; sister: Stella Braden of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers: Frank Smith of LaFollette; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. Funeral was held 1 p.m. Sunday, Stanfield United Baptist Church. Rev. Edmon Lowe and Rev. Clifford Russell officiating. Burial in Stanfield Cemetery.
