S. A. Bandy, respected old settler of this county, died at the home of his son, H. H. Bandy, three miles west of Howe on Monday morning. He had been ill with pneumonia and lumbago.
Mr. Bandy had been a resident of this section since 1887. He was born in Monroe Co., Miss., in 1848; married Miss Delilah Black in 1868, and to this union were born 12 children, one dying in infancy and another, Joseph D. Bandy, dying in 1906 at the age of 18. The ten surviving children are: J. T. Bandy of Biglow, Ark.; W. W. Bandy of Peoria, Ark.; C. G. Bandy of Holbrook, Ore.; Howard Bandy of Bokhoma, Okla.; H. H. and G. C. Bandy, both of Howe; Mrs. Pickle of Heavener and Mrs. Will Frazier of Hodgens.
Burial was Monday afternoon in Spring Hill cemetery, between Howe and Monroe.
