Services for Mrs. Mattie S. Comer, 70, of Rt. 2, 189-A, Opelika, will be held Saturday, at 2 PM at the Zion At The Hill A. M. E. Church of Opelika. Burial will be in the church cemetery with the Rev. Robert Devoise officiating.
Mrs. Comer died on Monday, May 18, at the Lee County Hospital.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ella Brown, Tuskegee, and Mrs. Maezell Harvey, Gary, Indiana; one son, Auzzie Comer [Jr.], Opelika; one sister, Mrs. Odice Lilly, Opelika; one brother, Isaac Reynolds, Opelika; 17 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The body will lie in state at the church from 11 AM until the funeral.
Peterson and William Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
