Ruby Mae Bilke, age 76, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2008.
Ruby was born May 14, 1931, in Seneca, Missouri, daughter of the late Node DeWeese and Hila Melinda (McDonald) DeWeese. She worked for Wonder Bread, and was later a seamstress with Miller Manufacturing. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, George Bilke who died September 23, 2006, and two brothers, Floyd and Russel and one sister, Lucille.

Ruby was a caring compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her family and the Lord were her life. She will be greatly missed by all of us.

Survivors include her son, Larry Bilke and wife Mary Kay Bilke of Joplin; grandchildren, Zac Bilke and wife Felicia, Nathan Bilke and wife Keri, and Kali Rountree and fiancé Jason Brown all of Joplin; two great-grandchildren, Gwyn and Nya; a sister, Ruth Mann of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 16, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Park Baptist Church with Dr. John Swadley and Rev. Johnny Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow in Hornet Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Forest Park Baptist Church from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
