Betty was born in McGregor, Texas, to the late C.C. and Ethel Stone. The third child and eldest daughter, Betty attended McGregor schools. She married Carl Preston Neal on April 16, 1942. She was active in Harris Creek Baptist Church, teaching bible study classes there for many decades.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over five decades; a son, Johnny Neal; and brothers, Bennie Stone and Truman Stone.
Survivors include son, Larry Neal and wife,
Betty, of Lorena; daughters-in-law, Dianne Moore, of Lorena and Vivian Neal, of Hewitt; four granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; and friends beyond number.
