Arthur Allgood, age 55, died at his home on R. 1, Altoona on Monday, Julv 20th. He had suffered from rheumatism for some time and it is supposed that this malady caused his death. Mr. Allgood was a member of one of the pioneer families of this section and was well and favorably known by many people over the county. He was a good man and was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs, Cora Allgood; one brother, Sidney Allgood. Oneonta. R. 1; one step brother, Clyde Stevens, Alabama City: one half sister. Mrs. Bertha Fitts. of Alabama City. Funeral services were held at Old Liberty Cemetery Tabernacle and were conducted by Revs. Walter Graves and L. T. Fendley. Interment in Old Liberty Cemetery with Robinette in charge.
