Mrs. Ellen Easter died at her home last Tuesday evening and the funeral services were held at the M.E. Church Thursday at 10 a.m. after which the remains were laid to rest in the Randall Cemetery. She was born near West Carlisle, Coshocton County, Ohio, 69 years ago. She with her husband and family moved to Kansas in 1872, locating in Jewell County where they have resided for 30 years. She leaves a husband and ten children, four girls and six boys, to mourn her loss. They were all present at her death but her son James, whose home is at Union, Nebraska. She was a devoted wife, a kind and loving mother and a generous neighbor, and the news of her death will bring sorrow to the homes of many friends she leaves behind.
