John "Johnny" Bryan Garland

John (Johnny) Bryan Garland passed away at his home in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the age of 61.
John was born in Halifax, 1953. He worked 32 years as a Steam Fitter at the Old Camp Hill Hospital and then transferred to the QE11. John recently retired.
He enjoyed guitar and cars and spending time with his family. John was predeceased by his father, Myles Garland, sister, Wendy Dodge, and baby brother, Myles.
John is lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Gladys of Halifax; sons, Bryan and Steven; mother, Greta (Garland) & Bert Conrad, sisters, Cathy, Brenda, Gena; brothers, Bill, Ross and Billy, and loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and the cats Piggie & PJ, who he loved very much.
The visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, (455-0531) on Monday August 25 at 1:00 pm. Service to follow at 2 pm, with Pastor Bill Wozney officiating. Following the service and reception, interment will be held at Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or your charity of choice.
