Mrs. June Barber Lloyd, 82, of Pine Mountain, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at her home. Mrs. Lloyd was born June 8, 1940, in Sarasota, Florida, daughter of the late Paul and Della Presley. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she served as a bus driver for the Troup County School System for more than 20 years prior to her retirement. She had been a member of Oakside Baptist Church and then Stovall Baptist Church, enjoyed feeding and watching the birds in her yard, loved to read, and was an avid flower gardener.


Survivors include her sons and daughter in-law, Tommy and Sandra Barber of Five Points, AL, and Greg Barber of LaGrange; six grandchildren, Luke, Christy, Bubba, Josh, Lilly, and Dylan; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-son.


The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 21, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Reverend Aaron McCollough will officiate and interment will be in Restlawn Memory Gardens in LaGrange. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday. Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
