Sharon Kay Steele, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kansas. She was born to Everett and Mildred Marine Gaul on September 15, 1939, in Dodge City, Kansas. She was a member of the Tribune community since 1963 having moved from the Dodge City area. She was a Tribune United Methodist Church member and an Honorary Life Member of the Greeley County Historical Society where she has served on the board and as a treasurer for many years. 


On June 5, 1960, Sharon married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Max Steele in Ford, Kansas. He survives.


Sharon is survived by her husband, son - Scott & Christine Steele of Tribune, Kansas, daughter - Stacia & Jobie Langston of Sun City Center, Florida, one brother - Harold Gaul of Grand Junction, Colorado, three sisters - Donna Hensley of Ford, Kansas, Pat & Bob Dome of Cheney, Kansas, Lois & Leland Crego of Wellington, Colorado, eleven grandchildren, and nineteen great-grandchildren.


Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, one sister- Betty Day, and three brothers - Gene, Vernon, and Sonny.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Tribune United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas with Pastors Jerri Smith and Justin Sherer presiding.
