Ernest J. Paterno, Sr. a resident of Bucks County since 1976, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. He was 95. Ernest was the loving husband of the late Antoinette Paterno.
Born in New York, NY, Ernest was a son of the late Joseph and Mamie Paterno.
Ernest had been employed with Wards Baking Company in Bronx, NY and later was employed with Dudley Sports Company of Dublin, PA.
Ernest enjoyed watching Jeopardy every evening and completing crossword puzzles. He was also an avid gardener, a true Yankees fan and loved to listen to opera music.
Ernest is survived by 2 sons, Ernest Jr. and Henry (Dawn) and a daughter Anne Cini (Edgar). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Deborah Crail, Michael Cini, Jennifer Marquis and James Paterno, 7 great grandchildren, Timothy, Brian, Sean, Evan, Julia, Lauren and Joshua and a brother John. He was preceded in death by a brother Joseph Jr and a sister Laura Abela.
I love you Dad, I love you Grandpa, I love you Poppy.

Ernest's funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Shelly Funeral Home, Easton and Keller's Church roads, Plumsteadville, where the family will receive friends after 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
