Martha Ruth Davis, 90 of St. Marys, WV, passed away, November 27, 2020, at her residence. She was born, September 19, 1930, in Pleasants County, WV, a daughter of the late Victor E. And Martha McFarland Roden. She was a member of the George Street Church of Christ and a 1947 graduate of St. Marys High school. She was retired with over 25 years as the City of St. Marys City Recorder. She loved her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She enjoyed reading, eating hot fudge cake from Shoneys or the Outback, and her front porch swing.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Kocher and Carolyn Bunner both of St. Marys, WV, grandchildren, Sheri Lyn Morris and her significant other, Theresa Waldron of Virginia, Joseph Morris and his wife, Lindsay of Harrisville, WV, and Brandy Bills and his wife, Shannon of St. Marys, WV, great grandchildren, Vanessa Riggs and her husband, Josh, Isaiah Morris, Chase Morris, Morgan Morris, Dylan Patterson, and Simon Bills, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Davis, Jr., son, Steven Lee Davis, brothers, Victor, Walter "Red", and Bill Roden. and sisters, Velma Matchett, Esther Roden, Mary Carmon, and Elizabeth Riggs.
