Leo Raymond DiMaggio, previous owner of Freitag's Bakery and retired from Gambino's Bakery died at his residence on Friday, February 27, 2004. Beloved husband of Florence McGittigan DiMaggio. Father of Craig G. DiMaggio. Son of the late Carmella Eurrisa DiMaggio and Archie DiMaggio. Brother of Harold DiMaggio, Gertrude D. St. John, Madeline D. Saurage and the late Juanita D. Stentz and Philip DiMaggio. Survived by two grandchildren, Joshua and Justin DiMaggio. A native of New Orleans and resident of Metairie for 41 years. A parishioner of St. Benilde Catholic Church. Relatives, friends and employees of Gambino Bakery are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd (Metairie Cemetery) Monday, March 1, 2004 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. Visitation Monday Morning 11:00 AM until Funeral Time. Flowers or donations to a charity of your choice.
