Parents were from Wales. Married Lucy Ann Jenkins on June 28, 1849 in Harrison County, Ohio. The couple lived in Harrison County during the 1850 US Census, then moved to Hocking County before 1860 where they settled in the area of Perry Township and Laurelville, the latter being on the Hocking/Pickaway County border.


Place of burial based on a 1963 reading of Stumpf Cemetery conducted by the DAR. Grave was marked at that time.

Blacksmith. Residence in 1880, Laurelville, Hocking, Ohio. Parents were born in Wales.
