W. R. Buckland Succumbs At 50
William Ross (Bill) Buckland, 50, former resident of Prosperity died in a Feyetteville, N. C. hospital Tuesday after a lengthy illness.
The Body is being returned here for funeral services and burial.
BUCKLAND was born at Prosperity September 9. 1909, the son of Josph Buckland (now of Price Hill) and Mary Jane Peterson Buckley, who preceded him in death in 1944.
The deceased was a veteran of World War II and has been engaged in construction work most of his adult life.
Survivors, in addition to his father who now lives at Price Hill, are his wife, Ruth Buckland, Fayetteville, N. C.: one daughter, Mrs. William Jones, Hamilton, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest Lilly, Beckley and Mrs. George Woody, Baltimore; one brother, Basil Buckland, Price Hill; one granddaughter, Barbara Sue Jones, Hamilton, Ohio.
THE BODY will remain at Melton Funeral home on Harper Road and funeral services will be conducted in Melton chapel at 1 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Ernest Barley in charge. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Fred Lewis, Randolph Buckland, Wilson Hamilton, Carl Eskins, G. W. Sawyers, and Buren Williams.
