Mrs. Laura Adams, born February 19, 1877, at Rose Hill, Illinois, entered into rest on September 4, 1948, at Alton Memorial Hospital after an illneess of two weeks. She was the eldest of seven children of Edward A. and Mary Alice Winter.

She was married on May 28, 1896, to Henry Adams of Montrose, Illinois, who preceded her in death on January 2, 1929. To this union were born six children: Russell Edward, Mabel Alice who died in infancy, Leona Anderson, Henry Ray, Lenora Early, and Ruth Thornsberry.

Surviving in addition to her children are four brothers, Rev. Louis Winter, Cloyce A. Winter, Ira Winter, Ray Winter, and two sisters, Estella McComas and Emma Winter, also seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

There's an open gate,

That a loving God knows best.
