A memorial service for Gladys M. Ellis, 93, Logansport, will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Eighth and Broadway.
She died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born June 28, 1914, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Everett and Vesta Sweetser Turnpaugh. On April 8, 1950, in Plymouth, she was married to Forrest "Jack" Ellis. He preceded her in death June 4, 1973.
A 1933 graduate of Logansport High School, Gladys retired from Northern Indiana Public Service Co. where she had worked as a bookkeeper. She and her husband were also self-employed.
Surviving are one sister, Helen Ketcham, Logansport; nieces Bonnie Lewis and Sandy Gardner, both of Logansport, and Misha Turnpaugh, of Florida; nephews Randy Painter, Monticello, and Danny Turnpaugh, Kokomo; along with several other nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Private burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
