Mount Horeb / Daleyville - Raymond D. Weier, age 57, of rural Daleyville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 16, 2008 at his home. He was born on May 1, 1951 in Dodgeville, the son of Leo and Jeanette (Williams) Weier. He was employed at Engineering Industries, Inc. in Verona and due to his love of farming, he always shad some animals to care for. He call Daleyville home for the past 28 years. He had one of the biggest hearts; always putting others needs before his own.
Ray is survived by his brothers, James (Ilene) Weier and Tom (Evelyn) Weier, both of Hollandale, Gary Weier, of New London; his sisters, Joanie (Norbert) Meuer, of Dodgeville and Marcia (Joe) Nachreiner, of Plain; 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Jeanette, his brother, Donald, his nephew, Toby, and paternal and maternal grandparents.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Hollandale. Fr. Henry Kalscheuer will officiate. Inurnment will be held in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of mass on Wednesday at the church.
