Stanley Nicol was a life-long resident of Hammond. After receiving his education in the local Hammond schools he married Eva Robinson of Rossie on October 26, 1915. Together they operated a farm on Oak Point road before later moving to Chippewa Bay Road. Stanley and Eva were the parents of four children. Three daughters who survived him, and a son, Charles who was killed in action in World War II on December 7, 1944.
