Grandma Ella's husband, who also survived, was Thomas Blount "Tom" McCracken whom she married before the 1910 census was enumerated in the spring of that year. The exact date of their marriage is uncertain, but the 1910 Lawrence Co., Tennessee census lists them as being married less than a year.
Two daughters, Jewel and Mae Ople, pre-deceased their mother, both dying by the end of 1916. According to her death cerificate, Mae Ople is buried in Hesters Chapel Cemetery along with her mother. No headstone has been found.
The place of Jewel's burial remains unknown, but it is firmly believed to be either in West Point, Lawrence Co., Tennessee at the Knob Creek Cemetery or in the Hester cemetery located in Limestone Co., Alabama near the Wright farm.
Martha Ella was the daughter of Samuel Littleton Wright and Florence Certain/Sartain Wright, who are also buried in the Hester cemetery. In the 1900 US census, Jane Roberson is listed as Grandma Ella's maternal grandmother.
Ella's birth and death dates reflect those listed on her death certificate, not the ones engraved on the headstone my father had placed in the cemetery in the early 1990's. At that time, Grandma's death certificate had not been discovered and Daddy assumed her passing to be 1917.
