John R. Inlow Sr., 81, of Clearfield, PA died Thursday, May 15, 2008 at his home.
Born June 19, 1926 in Clearfield, PA he was the son of Charles J. and Reath E.(Williams) Inlow.
Mr. Inlow worked for many years in the dry cleaning business and later worked for General Cigar then fourteen years for Crescent Brick before retiring.
He was Methodist by faith and a generous giver believing that all should share equally. He was a WW II veteran serving with the Navy Amphibious Forces, he survived five invasions and was given the Badge of Honor by the Taiwan Ministry of Defense for his part in helping the Nationalist Chinese before the fall of China to the Communists.
He is survived by his wife Mary L. (Lansberry) Inlow whom he married December 8, 1948, seven children Doris J. Williams and her husband Morgan of Oh., Charles D. Inlow and his wife Maurene, John R. Inlow, Jr. and his wife Arnoldine, Mary E. "Cookie" Miller and her husband Jerry, LeAnna Inlow all of Clearfield, Shawn K. Inlow and his wife Rebecca of Osceola Mills, and Dana L. Wilson of Clearfield also his niece Nancy E. Rosman, whom he raised, her children John R. Valimont and Benjamin A. Valimont and her husband Bob of Sykesville. Also surviving eleven grandchildren, Kelly Williams-Sieg, James T. Williams, Laura F. Inlow, Michael P Inlow, Lynann M. Porter, John R. Inlow III, Matthew A. Hertlein, Ryan M. Hertlein, Sarah A. Inlow, Wyatt M. Inlow, and Joshua A. Wilson, and six great grandchildren.

having been preceded in death by his parents and a sister Mildred J. Inlow.
At the request of Mr. Inlow there will be no public viewing. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield with Rev. Jay E. Jones officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 5:30 P.M. until the hour of services.
