Frederick "Fred" Edgar Balliett passed away on November 1st 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital of Green Bay, WI surrounded by his family. Fred was born in Augusta, Wi to Dean and Anita (Coulson) Balliett on December 10th 1948.


He graduated from Oak Creek High School in 1968. He then attended UW River Falls prior to attending Eau Claire University. He was a tutor for the University where he tutored his now wife Lana (Phillips).

After college he was a proud member of the US Coast Guard.


After leaving the service he married the love of his life Lana Phillips on July 14th 1973. They started a family together and have two girls, Kathryn and Rebekah.


Fred worked as a Chemist for the paper mill industry up until his early retirement. After retirement he became a stay-at-home dad for his daughters.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was a devout Christian. He was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He loved his family more than anything and loved spending time with his girls and his grandkids. He was known for his ability to carry on a conversation, his jokes and his faith. As well as his catch phrase "be good, and if you can't be good, don't get caught."


He is survived by his loving wife, Lana (Phillps),

his daughters Kathryn (Balliett) Minan (Jimmy), Rebekah Balliett (Casey Smith).

Grandkids Silas and Amelia Duval and Baby Minan.

As well as an abundance of family and friends.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Dean and Anita Balliett,

Sister Jacqueline Jean "Jackie" Balliett Haldeman, [Mrs. Dean Haldeman];

and sister-in-law Polly (Phillips) Larson.


His memorial service will be held on November 11th 2023 at Bethany United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 9 – 11 AM, service at 11 AM with a time of fellowship to follow after the service.
