Liberal, MO -- Dorothy E. Cassatt, 68, Liberal route 3, died at 7:01 a.m. Saturday at Nevada City Hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Cassatt was born Dec. 23, 1919, at Ridgeway (Harrison County, Missouri). She had lived in the Liberal area all her life. She was a retired psychiatric aide at the Nevada State Hospital. She was a member of Verdella Freewill Baptist Church, northeast of Liberal, and the Homemaker Club at Verdella.
She married William R. Cassatt Aug 15, 1938, at Lamar. He survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Terry Cassatt, Liberal; two daughters, Pat Bean, Lamar, and Peggy Gage, Moundville; two brothers, Leo Hoagland, San Bernardino, Calif., and Irvin Hoagland, Neosho; two sisters, Doris Welberg, Belton, and Betty Hermsen, Topeka, Kan.; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Verdella Freewill Baptist Church. The Rev. Thayne Fast will officiate. Burial will be in Barton City Cemetery, northeast of Liberal.
Arrangements are under direction of Lohmeyer-Konantz Funeral Home, Lamar
