Lifelong Visalia resident Raymond Garcia passed away on Sunday, Sept 1, 2002, at the age of 80.
Ray was born in Visalia on Aug 9, 1922, to Jacinto and Amelia Garcia. He served our country in the U.S. Army with the 26th Infantry from 1945 to 1947 and received a Bronze Star. He married Juanita Silva on Aug. 23, 1969, and together they raised eight children.
Surviving are his wife, Juanita Garcia of Visalia; daughter, Angie Banuelos and husband, Alfred, of Visalia; daughter Virginia Martinez of Visalia; son, John Silva of Visalia; daughter, Paula Romo of Visalia; daughter, Pam Sotelo and husband Fred, of Tulare; daughter, Sandra Bega and husband, Joe of Visalia; daughter, Roseanna Martinez and husband, Raymond of Visalia; and daughter Robin Barnett of Visalia.
