Obituary: "M. C. Allison, after about three weeks illness, departed to the next world at noon Wednesday. Mike, as he was familiarly known, had lived among us since the beginning of the town and had engaged principally in the stock business. He was an honored member of the IOOF and Woodman lodges and had scores of friends in the community who mourn his untimely demise. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his departure. The remains were interred in the Olive Branch Cemetery today where an immense assembly witnessed the last sad rites. The ceremonies were conducted by the Cedarville and Kensington Odd Fellows. Rev. Merrill preached the funeral sermon at the Congregational Church. The afflicted family have the sincerest sympathy of the community."
