Albert C. (Bert) Tankersley, 80 years old, Route 1, Alma, Arkansas, died Thursday, February 16, 1967 in a Pryor, Oklahoma, hospital. He was born June 29, 1886 at Lamar, Missouri and was the son of A. B. Tankersley and Ada Beck. His wife, Dora, died October 18, 1956. He was a member of Alma Baptist church and was a dairyman and stockman.

Survivors were a son, Bert of Alma; five daughters, Artie of Pryor, Madeline of Fort Smith, Helen of Huntsville, Bertie of Stayton, Oregon and Dorabel of Alexander, Virginia; a brother of Greenwood; three sisters, Leona of Fort Smith, Sarah of Van Buren and Hattie of Barling; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Alma First Baptist church Saturday at 1 p.m. to lie in state until the funeral hour at 2:30 p.m. R. W. Jones and Ronald Condren were the officiating ministers. Burial was in Alma City cemetery under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
