William MacKay of Millsboro William H. MacKay "Hugh" of Millsboro, DE and formerly of Norristown, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 11, 2014. He was 80 years old. Born July 4, 1934 in Norristown, he was the son of the late John and Virginia (nee Hoffman) MacKay and the beloved husband of Lorraine (nee Jaggers) MacKay with whom he shared 35 years of marriage. Hugh worked for Philadelphia Electric as a truck mechanic and retired after 33 years of dedicated service. He then worked for Wilson Metz Bus Company as a bus driver for 15 years. Hugh was a past President of the Eagles Home Association of Norristown for eight years, he was a member of Sons of a Legionairre, American Legion Post 28 in Riverdale, DE, AM Vets Post 2 in Longneck, DE, the VFW in Rehoboth Beach and he was a member of St. Edmunds Church also in Rehoboth Beach.


In addition to his wife Lorraine, Hugh is survived by his step mother June Hesser, his seven children; Jack MacKay (Linda), Todd MacKay (Leeann), Susan MacKay, Terrance MacKay, Ronald Agostinelli (Verna), Vincent "Jay" Agostinelli (Theresa) and Paula O'Donnell (Tom) as well as several grandchildren,and great grandchildren, four brothers; Richard MacKay, Neil MacKay, Bobby MacKay, and Douglas MacKay, and his sister Jennifer Hesser.


Hugh was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Manderach, his granddaughter Devon Manderach, two sisters; Patty MacKay, Barbara Failings and three brothers; Gary MacKay, Warren MacKay and Cubby Hesser.


Relatives and friends are invited to share in Hugh's Life Celebration service on Wednesday October 15, from 7 to 9 PM and on Thursday from 8 to 9:20 AM at Boyd-Horrox-Givnish of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown Pike 610-277-7000. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church at 10 on Thursday. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
