Florence M. Haskins, 78, of Brattleboro, VT passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Pine Heights in Brattleboro, VT. She was born on September 25, 1934 in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late Frank and Florence (Homan) Widrick. 

Florence was educated in the Syracuse, NY school system. She relocated to Brattleboro with her family in 1963, and has remained a resident since. She was employed as a Chef for the Brattleboro Retreat for many years before her retirement. Florence loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, fast cars, cooking, and hosting the holidays for family and friends. She will best be remembered by those who knew her as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is predeceased by a son, Howard Haskins, Jr. in 1999; her long time life partner, Shirley Foley in 2011; a brother, Richard Widrick; and four sisters, Arlene Harrington, Doris Brigitta, Harriet Widrick and Nellie Place. Florence is survived by a son, Raymond Haskins of Brattleboro; three daughters, Katrina Jacobs and her husband Arthur of Brattleboro, Sondra Haskins of Brattleboro and Alice Matteson of Vernon; eleven grandchildren, Eric, Cory, Abigail, Michael, Ashley, Jason, Travis, Curtis, Ericka, Kareana, and Garrett; three great grandchildren, Gaige, Payten and Cameron; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
