Clarence E. Hardison, Jr., age 80, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023, from cancer. He died at home in Beckley, West Virginia. He was born May 06, 1942, in Edenton, North Carolina to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Hardison.


Clarence retired from the City of Chesapeake, Virginia after 25 years as a bridge tender.

He was a proud member of the Sons of the Confederate Vets, the Stonewall Jackson Chapter in

Portsmouth, Virginia. He also participated in motorcycle rallies for charity and loved crabbing and

fishing, and hunting.


Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Debbie; his sister, Mildred Ann Mendez; one son, Clarence E. Hardison III; three daughters, Elizabeth Ann Hardison (deceased), Regina Lynn Hardison, and Arlena Jean Hilliard; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
